Mission Green

Mission® Green is our way of better understanding how our products, business activities and manufacturing processes impact the environment and, more importantly, ways to reduce that impact. Whether it’s ensuring better air and water quality, using alternative energy sources such as solar and hydro power, or continually working to reduce waste materials from our packaging processes, we’re taking steps to ensure our products can be enjoyed well into the future. We’re also proud to be giving back to the community by supporting food programs like Share Our Strength.

• Reduce our emissions and environmental footprint by 10% in 5 years

Supporting our community-Social Responsibility

• Partnered with Share our Strength, a non-profit organization involved in an effort to end childhood hunger for the nearly 17 million American children who go hungry every day.

2010 Mission Green Achievements and Awards

• Converted product line from refrigerated to shelf-stable to help reduce our carbon footprint and impact on the environment through more efficient energy consumption and transportation.
• Achieved LEED Gold Certification for new plant located in Panorama City, California.
• Became a partner of The Climate Registry, a nonprofit collaboration that sets consistent and transparent standards to calculate, verify and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions into a single registry.
